Quality and Safety

The Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) concept is a logical, scientific approach to controlling safety problems in food manufacturing. The HACCP team has been developed at International Tastes to ensure that all aspects of our operation meet strict guidelines relating to food safety issues. This means that you can trust that you will receive products of the highest quality from International Tastes, and in turn be able to pass this onto your own customers.

Several steps have been taken to ensure the quality of our product:

  • A multidisciplinary HACCP team has been assembled, including experts in the field of food preparation, Chefs and Food Technologists to assess and control any saftey issues before, during and after the production of our quality product.
  • A complete analysis of our products has been detailed, including relevant safety information such as microcidal/static treatments (eg heat-treatment, freezing, brining, smoking etc), packaging, durability and storage conditions and method of distribution.
  • Our intended consumers have been identified, with any specific vulnerable groups of the population considered.
  • A flow diagram covering all aspects of our operation has been constructed, detailing all possible hazards from primary production, processing, manufacture and distribution until the point of consumption.
  • All possibilities have been eliminated or reduced to acceptable levels through strict and thorough monitoring and evaluation at all critical control points during the operation.
  • Corrective actions have been detailed and developed for each critical control point to effectively deal with any deviations that may occur. These actions ensure that the deviation has been bought under control and proper disposition of the affected product has been carried out.
  • Verification procedures such as random sampling and analysis, auditing methods, proceedures and tests are used to ensure that the HACCP system is working correctly.
  • Efficient and accurate documentation and records exist to ensure that the HACCP system has been applied correctly and is working to full potential.
